Dear Fellow Touro University-CA Alumni and Friends of the University,

On March 19th 2018, I assumed the privilege of becoming your Alumni Association President for the next three years; it is with great hope and enthusiasm that we bring in the 2018-2019 scholastic year!

We welcome our recent 2018 graduates into the growing family of alums and wish them well as they venture into their professions. Touro University’s reputation for growing leaders is known throughout the globe and the demand for us is great now, more than ever.

In the pursuit of a more just and healthy society, the need to collaborate and reach out across disciplines to achieve better outcomes is imperative.  Let’s look to ourselves to be the change we desire and lead the way by building stronger relationships within our Alumni family.

Over the next few months we look forward to sharing new Alumni Association initiatives and including you in our goals. I invite you to communicate with others to learn of the benefits of Alumni membership and please know that a strong Alumni network engages our community, other professionals, and looks to bring prospective students into the fold.

Thank you again for allowing me the opportunity to serve as your Alumni Association President. We are excited at the chance to partner with you to strengthen and grow our Alumni Association!

Sincerely,

Dr. Richie Duenas, Pharm.D

COP Alumni Giving Advice to Incoming Students

The College of Pharmacy hosted its first "New Student Mixer" on the evening of June 5th, with a warm reception for the class of 2022. About 100 incoming students and their families came to Lander Hall to learn about the academic experience and to discover the resources that will be available. Current students (P1s) and pharmacy alum sat on panels to share their experiences, giving advice and perspective to those who are ready to follow on their path.
